Sammy, much like Kayla, must have known that his future was not looking to great. The day that Sammy was loaded onto that semi, he decided he had had enough and was going to make a break for it! Sammy took a dive of a semi full of other piglets and ran for freedom. Sammy was taken to an animal shelter that did not have the resources for him and had scheduled to put him down. When a wonderful family heard everything that Sammy had already experienced, they refused to let that animal shelter be his last stop. The family left with Sammy, and after a few weeks of searching for a home, they were directed to IFS by the Omaha Zoo. Sammy now lives happily with all of his other pig friends, free from fear or pain.
