Django is the biggest of the Liber8ed and therefore took on a leadership role with them, day one. We originally thought Django hadn't sustained any injuries in the crash, but after some rain washed away the poo and mud that covered parts of him, we noticed a few large lacerations; one on his back by his hip and spine, the other on his front leg. His front leg experienced some swelling and as soon as we noticed it, we got him to the vet. Django has always been curious about humans, he will let you pet him briefly and even take treats from your hands. He was named by a couple who donate and visit the sanctuary every chance they get. They named him after the movie, because he is now free. "The D is silent."
