Bruce was found alone. His rescuers assumed he wandered off his owner's property. He was traced to an area farmer who already had a backlog of unpaid fines for neglect, so Bruce was confiscated by the county and then released for rescued. Bruce's horns were brutally removed without anesthesia. He had two massive holes in his head for over a month, this part of his story simply breaks our hearts.The holes could have been sutured shut, but that would have required anesthesia and the owners didn't want to take that risk. He was very timid when he first arrived here and it's no wonder!!!
